The University of Cincinnati campus is a composition of architecture. Architects such as Morphosis, Frank Gehry,
Micheal Graves, Peter Eisenman, and many more have designed for the university. This project focused on Peter Eisenman’s Aronoff Center for Design. The program was to create an addition to the existing design placing it within the site according to individual analysis. The design process began with designing an archive for and Andrea Pozzo double fache engraving. This design would then be placed in the edition for exhibition. The final design was a six story black slate structure. This design was centered around circulation and views. The circulation was centered around a large atrium that allowed for light and spacial connections on every level. The first floor allows for circulation from the Aronoff to the Alms creating a connection throughout the center. Each level houses an exhibition space for viewing of relics and designs. The program also houses conference rooms, offices, storage, photo lab, and archive. A view of the campus and city beyond is made possible from the roof top garden. This design was to create clarity in the circulation and provide a moment of relief in the existing program.

Reflection
 

This project allowed for me to explore light and how it moves throughout space. The down falls to this project were in my used of representation. I explored the used of photoshop in this project and this in ways benefited and in other hindered the representation. The large structure reads as a very dark facade while in reality the color would be a softer grey. The placement of program in plan was very well worked out but the sectional organization
has room for improvement. With the resourced of other courses I was able to understand the construction and make up of my designs which allowed me to grasp a better understanding of what it takes to create the built world.
